A Mother’s menu consists of 2 things, EAT IT or STARVE

Well, being surrounded by books and exams throughout my life, cooking is just not my cup of tea. But once you are a mother, excuses don’t work at all. So, hereby, sharing my evergreen and all-time favorite recipe of a vegetable sandwich aka POWER SANDWICH, as I like to call it.

STEPS

  1. Take brown bread or multigrain bread, let’s be realistic ……. any bread drowsing in your fridge, and cut away the sides.( As they are little firm and you don’t want to give any reason to your little cub to say ‘no’ to it )
  2. Now chop, grate &finally cut all the so-called green vegetables ( some of them even we don’t like to eat but shhh !!!!! ). For example: –
    – RED HEAD carrot (orange or red, trust me, it doesn’t matter as both are equally loaded with vitamins).
    – CRUNCHY capsicum. Ok, again, red or yellow or green, doesn’t matter as color just denotes different ripening stages Or maybe just ask your little tot for his /her favorite color!
    – Indian cottage cheese or parmesan cheese or curd cheese, don’t get stressed by fancy names of our very own “PANEER” They are just for the designer look of my recipe.
    – CRAZY HEAD mushroom or small umbrella, as my daughter calls it!
    – CUTE cucumber, to cool down my angry little one
  3. Mix all the ingredients in any cream of your choice. I prefer mayonnaise, since it is salted and yummy at the same time and I don’t need to put extra salt and spices.
  4. Spread the mixture between two bread slices and put the assemble in the butter laden blades of your sandwich maker so as to make it both: crunchy and brackish.
  5. Don’t forget to garnish it with your LOVE, WARMTH and TENDERNESS

Well, this is how I trick my daughter into eating vegetables without letting her know and she relishes it even without screen time. If a diner like me can make this super healthy sandwich I am sure you all mothers out there are going to kill it.
